Good item but ear hooks break easily and are not replaceable unless....... : LG HBM-810 Bluetooth Headset and Solar Speakerphone
The ear hooks break easily and are not available on the commercial market as of 4/11/2011 as was told to me by LG, both customer service and corporate offices. What a crock! There are replacement ear hooks available to purchase for most blue tooth devices but not this one! No, you get the pleasure of hunting that information down when yo can't find any for sale anywhere in the world and your scratching your head saying "what the h@$$^%$!!.
You can, however, call LG and they will send you, free of charge, 2 replacement ear hooks, which, if you are lucky, will last you a month-maybe..... and then you get to spend another half an hour you don't have to get some more......what..until they end that program and then your screwed and your bluetooth is useless except as a car speakerphone?
LG is selling a product that has a component that is highly prone to breakage, hence sold as a replacement part for most other models including their other bluetooth devices, and then not selling the product to the public. No, now I get the pleasure of calling the company and going through the half an hour hold drill to get 2 free ear hooks sent to me instead of being able to run down to the store that sold me the device in the first place and picking up spares as I need them or spares I may want to stock for 'just in case'.
The bluetooth works fine but what a hassle. If your into being hassled, it might be worth the bother but I hear there are others out there that work just as well and you can purchase replacement hooks easily.
