So, you're probably thinking, why do I need an iPad in my car?
Here is the answer: Because it's cool.

I use it as a 9.7" GPS with Navigon, and it is nice to have a screen that I don't have to squint to read, since I'm getting up there in years, and the iPhone really didn't work too well hanging from the windshield. The other factor is there are windshield mounts available, but with the size car, blocking the field of view seems to be an bad option as well.

This looked to be the best way to have an iPad mount in the car, and it sits below the windshield, out of the passenger's way as well. By the way, I have it in the landscape position, rather than the portrait shown in the picture; the mounting hardware allows either and is self-explanatory.

It looks and feels like the people that made it cared about the design; the pieces are strong, well made, and appear to be build for lasting a long time (I don't anticipate any broken plastic). It also looks like it was professionally installed, even though I'm a bit of a hack in car add-ons. It took about 30 minutes to install it, once I got started.

When you buy this, you will be happy with the form, fit, and function. The only thing to add is the Scosche reVIVE II Dual USB Car Charger for iPad, and you'll be set.
